This action prequel narrates Furiosa’s beginnings as a rebel warrior prior to her alliance with Mad Max. It was reshot in Australia in 2022, and it is currently being prepared for release in May 2024, coinciding with the start of the summer film festival. In the action classic Mad Max: Fury Road, Anya Taylor-Joy plays the same Imperator Furiosa at a younger age.
