Erik Kripke, the show’s creator, might choose Jared Padalecki for season 5.
A Supernatural reunion might feature Misha Collins if Padalecki joins The Boys.
Collins’ cameo in The Boys may have made up for his brief appearance in Gotham Knights.
Viewers believe that if Jared Padalecki joins The Boys for season 5, creator Erik Kripke must cast the final Supernatural actor for a cameo. The Boys season 4 debuted on Prime Video on June 13, 2024. The Boys centers on The Seven, a group of renegade superheroes with celebrity status who are attempting to change their corrupt ways as the title anti-hero team. Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), the primary antagonist of season 3, has not yet made a reappearance in season 4, despite Kripke’s statement that the actor might given his brief cameo in the spin-off Gen V.
On Supernatural, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki portrayed Dean and Sam Winchester, respectively. Jared Padalecki might make an appearance in The Boys’ fifth season. There is still one SPN actor who has not yet been cast, though. Jared Padalecki has expressed interest in appearing on The Boys since his program Walker on The CW was canceled after four seasons due to budget cuts. He described Walker’s cancellation as a “tough piece of news,” but he is excited to be back with his SPN co-stars, even though fans are still waiting for the SPN trio’s missing member to make an appearance.
Should Jared Padalecki join the team, Misha Collins must be cast by the boys.
Although his role in The Boys is currently uncertain, Jared Padalecki may join the cast.
Eric Kripke, the creator of both shows, has appeared in multiple cameos on The Boys for his Supernatural actors. In season four of The Boys, he cast Jim Beaver as Robert Singer and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler. Jeffrey Dean Morgan portrayed John Winchester, the father of the Winchester family, while Jim Beaver portrayed Bobby Singer, the mentor and supernatural hunter, in significant roles on SPN. It only makes fitting that Misha Collins, the castiel from Supernatural, should be added to The Boys if Jared Padalecki joins them given these other cameos.
Misha Collins had nine different roles on Supernatural. He was close to both of the Winchester brothers, but especially to Dean, as Castiel. Together, Castiel and Dean starred in hundreds of episodes, and in season four, Castiel’s storyline begins with him rescuing Dean from Hell. Despite having already moved on to other roles, Misha Collins’ portrayal of Castiel is still recognizable. Given the length of time he and Jensen Ackles spent acting together, it seems fitting that Eric Kripke introduces him to Soldier Boy in The Boys.
Its Supernatural Cameos Would Be Perfectly Completed By The Actors Joining The Boys
Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have not yet made an appearance in The Boys.
Speaking to Deadline prior to Walker’s season finale, Jared Padalecki indicated that he and Kripke had “already talked about a role” for him in season 5. It appears that he is excited to join The Boys. On Misha Collins’s involvement with the show, however, nothing has been mentioned. Collins and Padalecki’s casting would gratify fans of both SPN and The Boys while completing the circle of the Supernatural cameos. There is no reason why the authors can’t create roles for both actors given casting for season 4 of Jeffrey Dean Morgan was announced in 2022, indicating that casting happens well in advance of filming.
However, Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki are free to join the cast at this time as they have no commitments to any other TV series.
The cast’s teases regarding The Boys season 4 don’t give fans any clues about who might make an appearance in season 5, only that fresh appearances might occur while the season is now airing. However, Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki are free to join the cast at this time as they have no commitments to any other TV series. The actors were both on The CW’s cancelled series. Last year, Misha Collins’ Gotham Knights ended after one season for reasons that were similar to those of Jared Padalecki’s Walker.
Misha Collins’s brief Gotham Knights role would be made up for by casting him in the boys.
Prior to the June 2023 cancellation of Gotham Knights, Misha Collins portrayed Harvey Dent.
Misha Collins joining The Boys would make sense as a way to make up for his short stint on the superhero heritage program, given that Gotham Knights season 2 is not happening. Collins portrayed Gotham City’s district attorney and Bruce Wayne’s pal Harvey Dent. He expressed his disappointment on Instagram following the cancellation of the program, saying he was “incredibly bummed and selfishly disappointed” not to be able to finish Harvey Dent’s tale. However, he is currently voicing Jeremy Bradshaw in the audio drama Consumed, costarring with Jared Padalecki’s wife, Genevieve Padalecki.
Many characters from the books can be adapted for the screen, so writing appearances for Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki in season five of The Boys wouldn’t be too tough. Misha Collins, who most recently worked on a superhero program, and Jared Padalecki, who has screen tested a Superman movie and worked on Supernatural, may both portray comic book characters. While it’s unknown if Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki will be added to the cast of Supernatural season 5, their reunion on The Boys would be a fantastic way to wrap up the Prime Video series.
