We consulted with industry professionals, obtained some betting odds, and shared our opinions.
Stranger Things’ last season is presently in development and is scheduled to premiere in 2025. The stakes for the fifth season are extremely high, and certain deaths have already been teased. But who is most likely to go down? Now let’s get started.
Over the years, Stranger Things has seen a number of significant fatalities. In season two, Sean Astin’s Bob Newby met an unhappy end; in season three, Billy (Dacre Montgomery) gave his life to save Max and the others; and, most recently, in season four, there were two significant deaths: Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) and Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).
We asked on our social media platforms, and we received a range of responses. Monette Moradi informed us that she believes Steve is in danger for a number of reasons. The first explanation was “the emotional impact for Dustin,” followed by “the fact that he was meant to die in the first season but changed his mind.” In a way, I see this as his Han Solo moment.
Dylan Brown made yet another insightful forecast when he said:
“Steve demonstrated the stakes in the first two episodes (a major hero moment).”
In the last episode, Eleven or Will—I’m not sure which—
Many predictions were also made for Vecna, Will, and Eleven.
Let’s now examine what we conclude. Beyond Vecna, whom Jacob and I both believe will pass away this season, and the Stranger Things Spoilers (who we spoke with last week). Spoilers for Stranger Things also revealed to us that they believe Eleven will pass away “because someone has to close this gate,” and that “there will be some unexpected deaths, like Joyce or Dustin.”
Joyce Byers’ Prediction Based on Kasey
I lean towards Dylan’s view mentioned above, according to which Joyce Byers may be the major fatality that occurs early on. We are aware that Joyce throws herself into issues to shield her children and has almost lost her luck on multiple occasions. It would be a very emotional beginning for the final season, if I’m not mistaken.
Regarding who is most likely to survive, I’m going to take a wild guess and say that Will has the best chance of making it. He’s been tipped as having a significant role in the upcoming season, and we have a sneaking suspicion that it will be crucial by the time the last episode’s credits roll.
Steve Harrington’s prediction made by Jacob
Steve Harrington, the world’s greatest babysitter, has been kicked in the ass more times than any other character on the programme, yet it has never stopped him from putting himself in danger to save others. Being one of the most courageous characters in the series, he would sacrifice himself to save Dustin, Robin, and Nancy, among other individuals. Steve ought to have a happy ending—ideally with Nancy. That being said, tragedy has a dark sense of humour, and King Steve is the only person more appropriate for the “heroic sacrifice.”
Hopper is the one who has the best chance of surviving. He’s previously had a really close near-death experience with the Russian machine under Starcourt. Not to mention, it would be extremely awfulfor Eleven to experience her father’s passing twice.
Odds of Betting on Deaths in Stranger Things Season 6
The internal betting odds team at Finixio/Business2Community has provided us with the following betting fractional odds for the forthcoming season.
If you’re not aware with how these operate, let’s take Eleven as an example. With 4/6 odds, you will profit $4 for every $6 you wager if Eleven prevails. Hence, if you wager $10, you are effectively wagering $10 to get $6.67 in profit, for a total return of $16.67. Thus, they anticipate Eleven.
Eleven: 4/6
Max: 2/1
Steve – 7/4
Will (8/11)
Nancy (7/2)
Mike: 3/1
Hopper (10/11)
Dustin: 5/2
Jonathan – 3/1
Joyce – 5/1
Lucas – 3/1
Robin – 7/1
According to these chances, Robin has the lowest chance of passing away in season five, while Eleven has the highest chance.
We also tried to obtain some odds for the last season from other sources, but many dealers were unable to supply any.
