George Miller, the director of the Mad Max franchise, discusses why he would be open to working with Chris Hemsworth again on Thor 5.
The character that Chris Hemsworth portrays in the upcoming film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is far more wicked. George Miller, who was quite pleased with Hemsworth’s performance, is now willing to work with him again on a future Thor film.
During an interview with ComicBook.com, Miller talked about his potential to helm the upcoming fifth Thor film, which would star Hemsworth as the MCU mainstay. Miller expressed his curiosity about the concept and his willingness to consider it simply for the opportunity to collaborate with Hemsworth once more. Given how talented Hemsworth is on stage, the director said he wouldn’t mind collaborating with the actor on another project, Thor 5 or otherwise.
“Chris and I could collaborate on anything. I would sincerely. He’s an amazing actor. He possesses every skill in its entirety, according to Miller’s explanation. “You really have to be physically fit. But to take on these ultimately quite sophisticated roles—really any role—you also have to be emotionally and intellectually athletic. I was thus really fortunate with my cast, especially with Anya and Chris’s compatibility. especially in the final days of the month.”
There isn’t a director for Thor 5 yet.
Marvel Studios did not achieve the level of popularity that was anticipated with Thor: Love and Thunder, and Chris Hemsworth recently expressed his reservations regarding his performance. In spite of this, the movie hinted at a fifth picture in the form of a tagline that said, “Thor will return.” It is now unclear what will happen to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor on the big screen going forward, as Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi has subsequently declared that he will not be helming the possible fifth movie.
For the time being, viewers can see Thor in Furiosa in a darker role. Though Hemsworth has hinted that his story is a little more nuanced than that, the character is still very much a cunning villain. He hinted that there might be explanations in the movie for how his character, Dementus, came to be who he was.
“We were thinking, ‘This is wicked, but what is the intention behind it?’ throughout the entire movie. He stated, “It’s not just sadistic insanity,” according to Empire. “There is a real purpose, the wheels are turning, he’s plotting and planning and ten steps ahead of everyone else.”
On May 24, 2024, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will make its theatrical debut.
