An future episode of House of the Dragon Season 2 features Prince Daemon Targaryen as a person of interest.
Building an army at Harrenhal is part of Daemon’s plot to turn the tides of the ongoing family feud.
An ambitious scheme to locate more Targaryens to aid in the war effort is hinted at in the next episode.
House of the Dragon Season 2’s battle appears to be continuing, and it appears like Prince Daemon Targaryen will be the focus of attention in the next episode. Because he is now at Harrenhal, the royal consort of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen has been absent from the show’s current events. However, it appears that the continuous conflict between families is the reason why both the Blacks and the Greens are pursuing him.
While Emma D’Arcy’s character, Queen Rhaenyra, gets ready for a formal dragon claim for a possible dragonrider, Daemon’s (Matt Smith) actions are being monitored, and The Blacks are planning their next move to prevent him from claiming the Riverlands. But Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) is not afraid of his uncle. As Rhaenyra has Her son Jacaerys (Harry Collett), who is still waiting for her to reconcile with her husband in episode 2, is now pressuring her to bring Daemon back in order to assist them turn the tide of the battle.
The execution of Jacaerys and Rhaenyra in order to locate additional Targaryen people outside of the Dragonlord families who may claim the surviving dragons to aid them in winning the war is another topic covered in the forthcoming episode teaser. The episode hints to the result of this absurd notion, even if we don’t know who was chosen to take a chance on their lives.
In “House of the Dragon,” Season 2, what is Prince Daemon Targaryen’s plan?
Following a botched assassination attempt on King Aegon, Daemon fled Dragonstone with his dragon, Caraxes, severely damaging Rhaenyra’s reputation. To turn the tide of this conflict and assist in constructing an army in Rhaenyra, he traveled in the direction of Harrenhal.
But in typical Gothic horror style, this royal highness was plagued by nightmares in which he encountered members of his own family as well as some well-known faces. According to Ryan Condal, co-creator of the program, the Prince uses these dreams as a way to reflect on his previous decisions.
The Prince has a quest to restore Harrenhal because its castle is in ruins in addition to addressing his history. Luckily, Ser Simom Strong and the rest of his household are already devoted to him, and he has already worked hard to make sure the castle is fortified before The Greens show up. However, the longer he remains in Harrenhal and endures these nightmares, the more it became clear that he intends to ascend to the throne himself and claim the crown as it was always meant to be, inviting Rhaenyra to follow him if he is successful because the people of Kings Landing “look to a man for strength.”
